(More customer reviews)You really need two people to install this on a 92 ford ranger. The bolts that hole the bumper have to be removed to put in the new bolts, and as such, you have to hold the bumper and hitch up at the same time.I did it myself by using bungee cords to hold the bumper up.Took some time but I did it.There are some brackets (6) that you put the bolts through.The picture on the instructions shows to install one bracket between the bumper and the hitch, but I didn't think that was smart.It looked like the bolt holes on the hitch were too large for the nuts that came with it, so I used the brackets on the bottom for safety.Hard to describe, but you'll see what I mean when you install this.

Overall though the hitch seemed very well made and strong. If you have to, take it to a shop and get it welded.I think it will be just fine the way I mounted it though.
